Living as if each moment were fresh and new, renouncing warfare with both self and other, feeling the strength of one’s being and the tenderness of one’s heart – these are some of the hallmarks of being human. Although these qualities are innately part of who we are, many people have found it necessary to undertake a transformative journey to discover their true nature.
In Shambhala Training Level One, the Art of Being Human, we discuss the nature of this journey and offer some tools that can help anyone interested in touching the bedrock that lies underneath the accumulated conditioning of our lives. Dates: Friday September 5, 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday September 6, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday September 7, 8:30 a.m. until noon New meditators are welcome. The weekend will consist of meditation instruction and practice, talks by the director, discussion groups, and individual interviews. The suggested offering for the seminar is $75.
